Dev Patel (born April 23, 1990), is a British Actor of Indian origin. He was born in London to parents Anita and Raj. Although he started his acting career with the TV Series “Skins”, he shot to fame for his role as Jamal Malik in Slumdog Millionaire.
Patel, who was seen in films like The Last Airbender, Chappie, & The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, has recently been in the spotlight for his role as Saroo Brierly in the film, Lion. The movie opened to rave reviews and Patel was appreciated from critics and fans alike for his performance.
He was dating the stunning crossover actress, Frieda Pinto, from their “slumdog” days. However, the couple broke up in 2014 after having dated for nearly 6 years!
